The Attention Seeking Chetan Bhagat

Hello Chetan Bhagat,
I just read your letter to the Kashmir people and it seems like you not only gave them a little lesson on history but also taught them a little more about their own religion (intolerance against women). I wonder what you have to say about the fundamentalist hindus forces ?

If you are confused about the subject, than I suggest you watch the news on how women are not allowed to entry temples, or perhaps you like to answer why fetal sex determination is banned in India. I will give you a hint, it has somethin to do with dowry being born a girl.

I am not going to debate on both the issues you tried to address but here is what I want you to answer. How are Muslims treated in India ? I am not talking about SRK and Salman Khan nor am I going to talk about what Amar Khan went through when he tried voicing his opinion.
I am going to talk about the real Muslims living in India the ones that have to struggle to make a living. I stay on the outskirts of mumbai (Vasai) and here most buildings societies do not allow Muslims to stay or buy houses. This is a fact and not fiction from books you written in the past.
This discrimination is just the tip of the ice berg . There is a mass difference in  social status, political activism, financial condition, educational qualification that builds prosperity of a community. I believe they are an outcast and they know it but yet decides to stay here because I presume like you Rightly said India is a better place for Muslims than Pakistan, and I think they know it. Now here is an interesting question just because they know it should they tolerate what is dished out to them ?

To address your concerns on Article 370. I would like to know why would you want it removed ? for people who dont know what Article 370 is, here is what I googled.

Article 370 of the Indian constitution is an article that grants special autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The article is drafted in Part XXI of the Constitution, which relates to Temporary, Transitional and Special Provisions.

I believe in India we have special treatment for everybody . If we have to talk about reservations on the scheduled caste or up lifting the poor with tax payers money which has been going on for decades and yet they remain poor .

There is special treatment for politicians, rich and famous. correct ? if you disagree, I suggest you look at the amount of scams among the rich and powerful and let me know how many has justice been served. There has always been discrimination in India . So basically, no one is really equal in the eyes of this constitutions .  To remove article 370 we must remove all special reservations and treat every Indian the same.

Ask not what the Kashmir people done for the country, ask what you have done for them.

And So the King of Good Times came to an end!

And So the King of Good Times came to an end!

I find it amusing that a man who can spend his money on lavishing himself beyond a rich man’s imagination can find it difficult to pay his employees salary.
His son Sidharth 'Sid' Mallya is famous in his own rite; he keeps making a fool of himself by thoughtless tweets and comments.

Mallya received substantial press coverage that focuses on his lavish parties, villas, automobiles, Force India, Royal Challengers Bangalore and his yacht “the Indian Empress”.

The Kingfisher Airlines been suffering from ill health and the Mallyas did nothing but drank and made merry, now it’s on the verge of dying or rather it’s just dead the Father and Son duo has been asking the government and other investors to save it.

Since the government and other investors left him to himself, he decided to let KFA rot in the open along with, the people who spent years working for him.
I think there seems to be no end to the father and son duo foolhardiness, just the other day I saw or happen to stumble upon on one of Sid’s shows. The Kingfisher calendar contest, He was talking like nothing happened, if I was him I’d hide my face in shame, for not paying thousands of people their hard earned salaries and here he watches half naked women stand in front of him with their bosoms almost on his face.

Siddharth Mallya was educated at Wellington College in Crowthorne followed by Queen Mary College, University of London. I wonder what he is doing here in India, besides making a hoodwink of himself trying to get cheap publicity by moving with Bollywood crowd.

I think Vijay Mallya’s companies need to be liquidated and the 7000 cr debt needs to be cleared along with his employees salaries of course. I see no reason why he should be let off the hook. It’s high time he took responsibility.

I will humbly request Vijay Mallya to pay back his debt and the airlines employees’ dues. They need money for reasons greater than your parties.

Life

Life

He sat on the shoreline, watching as moments of time passed him by; they walked in a sequence like people on an enchanted curse. They were not concerned of the outcome surrounding them.

They kept walking passed him. He just ignored them like they ignored him. The foams of the waves began to wash away his memories of the past.

They even mocked him by wiping the letters off the one he had affection for, and from far away the sound of the waves echoed her name.

He thought he was dreaming his dreams, when Life came and sat next to him. Then she said, ‘Why Chris do you waste these moments on the sands of time? Why think of the past, when the future is for you to take?’‘I have lost everything and my memories play games with me. They mock me and haunt me of false chimera of the days of yore. I have lost my sense of certainty and now live a life full of false expectations,’ said Chris, as he kept looking at his shores, not shifting his glance.

‘I am life with deep philosophical conceptions of existence, the existence of God, the soul, and the afterlife. Every person creates the essence, or its meaning in their own life. It is now you do that as well. You must live in the Now and look at the past from a distance and not dwell in that…’And then she continued, ‘You are here for a reason. I cannot let you go until that reason is complete.’Chris shifted his glance at Life, confused as to what she meant.

Life then took his hand and walked him down the shoreline. ‘Hope and Happiness are waiting for you at the other end of the shoreline,’ she said with a bright smile on her face.It was Hope who first came running and embraced him, and then Happiness followed.
The three surrounded Chris and hugged him in a tight embrace, holding him in their arms as the wind of time passed them by.Chris walked away that day holding their hands, like a little child would do.

he prayed someday others would follow him on the shoreline with Life by their side…

The good ones help us reach home

The good ones help us reach home

I was on the phone with an editor friend of mine a few days ago. I was having a drink after a hard day’s work, I like to loosen up a bit and a light chat helps me forget my troubles.

We were talking about people who are into the healing business, by healing I don’t mean doctors. We were talking about healing from the inside spiritual healing Reiki, Aura, Yoga, and there are so many, I don’t even know what difference, what does one do different from the other.

She said, some people have traumatic experiences in their lives or a bad child hood or they are unhappy with their present lives and need spiritual healers in their lives.

I said, “I don’t need them, why should I? When I can call upon God for help?”

She didn’t really agree with what I said, but she didn’t want to argue. So we left it at that and never spoke of it again.

It’s been a few days after our little chat, when this morning when I woke up and opened my door to pick the morning news paper. My little cat ran out. I didn’t go after him; I knew that if he knew I was close by, he would run even further thinking he was safe as long as I was with him.

I just kept the door open, so that he would come in after a while. I finished reading my news paper, took a bath and got ready for work. He still didn’t reach home.

I didn’t want to leave for work, while he was still out  there .So I went looking for him, I didn’t have to look far, he was at a corner of the building enclose into himself and was shivering and sacred . He didn’t move from the place and was probably waiting for me to get him back home.

I realized that sometimes like my little cat, we lose our way and even though God exist. We need someone to help us reach back to where we belong, where it’s safe and warm where we feel love and protected.

I can come to terms with why we have healers and spiritualist or other mediums now. They seem to make sense to me. The good ones help us reach home ….

Surrounded by Anger

Surrounded by Anger

The ones who hunger does not want to listen to words of wisdom.
Just as the ones who wage war listen to no peace….

Anger an emotion, so strong in its nature to destroy; it consumes everything in its path. I have seen the meek being bathed by Fear by its sheer presence. Anger; a horrid moment of spur is met with an objectionable response. However, it is still one of the many feelings we feel every day.

Anger is like fire it consumes everything in its path and will only stop when everything is destroyed.

Anger, an emotion never changes and it characteristic remains the same throughout the ages, a feeling of love or affection 100 years ago is the same now, it neither grows old now does it evolve.

So if emotions are the same then all of us should react the same way in every situation, right? Wrong. Every day we are bombarded with hundreds of emotions, lust, greed, love, irritation and our logical thinking tells us how to react to all these feelings.

Even though we feel the same emotions, how we react to these emotions is based on how we grew up with them. Someone raised in an environment of compassion, will spread compassion or at least most of them would.

They say the world is getting closer, they say we will all be one, one day. But then why is there so much killing now than ever before?

If we live in a surrounding of compassion and spread compassion then living in a surrounding of anger will spread anger. I see the world around me and the read about the countries beyond the boundaries of my own. I don’t see the spread of compassion from the boundaries of Asia, Gulf, Africa and reaching the European continent.

If we talk about fighting for justice and the war is waged against the axis of terror or it’s a holy war as claimed by religious fanatics. Why would someone have so much of anger for one another or to another religion or toward a country, as to hate them so much that even if hundreds or thousands of people die, they still won’t stop?

We must put a stop to this antagonism and one way of doing it, is to control ourselves. We must spread compassion like a disease that will one day infect people’s rage.

There is a famous Chinese proverb “Never write a letter while you are angry.” written words can never be erased just as our actions can never be undone.

Hateful action toward other people is like stabbing someone with a dagger. The wounds may heal but the scars will always remain.

It’s time we bring a change. If not, change will come on its own taking us to its realms of uncertainty.

You will be buried under a pile of stones, if you collect every hurtful thing people say to you. Use these stones carefully by building a wall, one day you will have a house to live in. - Lisbon

To find ME

To find ME

I was in talking to a colleague the other day and she spoke to me of God and how he will bring salvation to everyone’s lives for they who seek him.

She used verse from the bible and she believed what she thought as the right path to follow - for all to follow.
She followed the path of prayers and listened to the priest preach on many occasions, for many years. I was just wondering is it because she needed to find God because her father passed away a few years ago and her Mother last year after suffering from paralysis for a very long time?

Did the Church inspire her to knock on their doors after she made multiple wrong investments or was it her futile efforts in searching for a man of God to marry but she said it’s difficult to find.

Why do we seek God? Did the creator create us, only for us to run around seeking him? Or did he create us, for us to seek ourselves to find who we are, and to find happiness in the world he created for us. What she needed was to find her self; she needed to find happiness from all the years of suffering.

I knew of a another woman who drifted from one bad relationship to another and every time she introduces the new man in her life she said “he is the one, my soul mate” and after a couple of months she was clawing him with her vicious verbal venom.

I told her she can’t drift from one relationship to another and tell the world I am searching for love. It seems finding a man was not really difficult for her, it’s her choice of men that she went out with was the issue. She needed to know what she really wanted out of the relationship.

After three failed marriages and a couple of broken relationship she still trying hard for that “ONE” guess he won’t be coming knocking her door soon.

Now, since I had been talking about the whole world but my self, here is my story. I was in an 8 relationship and thought she was the one I would marry and raise a family with her one day.

I would work hard toward this dream, which seemed so real at the time. But she had others things in mind. She wanted a rich life and the extravagance of the rich and famous. She would demand and I would try to give in, until I just gave up. We broke up and I broke down. I left my job and started to write and kept writing for hours, days, weeks and finally for 7 months, until I finished a novel. When it got published, I was in no pain anymore.

It seemed like I didn’t want the world to see me in pain and I wanted to rid of it on my own, for me to write was the only way out. I kind of grew up and realized that at the time of my pain my silent cries to God and her, brought no relief, nor did God speak to me nor did she pick my phone.

What spoke to me was me my inner me. We picked the pieces of my life and joined them together. I believe that if we find ourselves we won’t need to look for someone to find it for us.

A great saying from an infamous man (Hitler) who once said “never beg for support from others, stand alone and face life as a race, then everyone will follow you.”

Birth

 Birth

It was her I blame for what she did to me; she was responsible for everything that happened and will happen to me. I remember when she first whispered in my thoughts like they were my ears.

“I am the one for your emergence and separation from the body of your mother that is going to happen.”

“Who are you?” I thought from deep within the one who tendered me.

“It was my act that will bring you forth.” She whispered back, she was reading my thoughts.

“Now nameless one, her opening is ready for you, now!” she screamed

“Who are you” my thoughts spoke again, as I was trying to struggle my way out of my Mother’s opening.

“It is I, who brings forth the one to be born; that which is produced. I am known as the beginning by many … I am birth! I am the time when something begins” she said screaming within my mind, as I took my first breath gasping for air

I was chocking, struggling and gasping - suspended in mid air, drenched and dripping with my mother’s seep I was howling and she cried in my ears again “shriek!Keep the howl going, the years of misery that lay before you nameless one await you
And then the sound of madness in the room ,as her faint voice disappears from my mind it was the last time I heard of her.
