Life

Life

He sat on the shoreline, watching as moments of time passed him by; they walked in a sequence like people on an enchanted curse. They were not concerned of the outcome surrounding them.

They kept walking passed him. He just ignored them like they ignored him. The foams of the waves began to wash away his memories of the past.

They even mocked him by wiping the letters off the one he had affection for, and from far away the sound of the waves echoed her name.

He thought he was dreaming his dreams, when Life came and sat next to him. Then she said, ‘Why Chris do you waste these moments on the sands of time? Why think of the past, when the future is for you to take?’‘I have lost everything and my memories play games with me. They mock me and haunt me of false chimera of the days of yore. I have lost my sense of certainty and now live a life full of false expectations,’ said Chris, as he kept looking at his shores, not shifting his glance.

‘I am life with deep philosophical conceptions of existence, the existence of God, the soul, and the afterlife. Every person creates the essence, or its meaning in their own life. It is now you do that as well. You must live in the Now and look at the past from a distance and not dwell in that…’And then she continued, ‘You are here for a reason. I cannot let you go until that reason is complete.’Chris shifted his glance at Life, confused as to what she meant.

Life then took his hand and walked him down the shoreline. ‘Hope and Happiness are waiting for you at the other end of the shoreline,’ she said with a bright smile on her face.It was Hope who first came running and embraced him, and then Happiness followed.
The three surrounded Chris and hugged him in a tight embrace, holding him in their arms as the wind of time passed them by.Chris walked away that day holding their hands, like a little child would do.

he prayed someday others would follow him on the shoreline with Life by their side…

The good ones help us reach home

The good ones help us reach home

I was on the phone with an editor friend of mine a few days ago. I was having a drink after a hard day’s work, I like to loosen up a bit and a light chat helps me forget my troubles.

We were talking about people who are into the healing business, by healing I don’t mean doctors. We were talking about healing from the inside spiritual healing Reiki, Aura, Yoga, and there are so many, I don’t even know what difference, what does one do different from the other.

She said, some people have traumatic experiences in their lives or a bad child hood or they are unhappy with their present lives and need spiritual healers in their lives.

I said, “I don’t need them, why should I? When I can call upon God for help?”

She didn’t really agree with what I said, but she didn’t want to argue. So we left it at that and never spoke of it again.

It’s been a few days after our little chat, when this morning when I woke up and opened my door to pick the morning news paper. My little cat ran out. I didn’t go after him; I knew that if he knew I was close by, he would run even further thinking he was safe as long as I was with him.

I just kept the door open, so that he would come in after a while. I finished reading my news paper, took a bath and got ready for work. He still didn’t reach home.

I didn’t want to leave for work, while he was still out  there .So I went looking for him, I didn’t have to look far, he was at a corner of the building enclose into himself and was shivering and sacred . He didn’t move from the place and was probably waiting for me to get him back home.

I realized that sometimes like my little cat, we lose our way and even though God exist. We need someone to help us reach back to where we belong, where it’s safe and warm where we feel love and protected.

I can come to terms with why we have healers and spiritualist or other mediums now. They seem to make sense to me. The good ones help us reach home ….
